Online / Remote Tutoring
With a tutor, learn Mandarin remotely from the comfort of your home using your computer, a web camera and a microphone. Your experienced tutor will guide you through our curriculum and help you learn at your own pace.
Our tutors are trained to deliver an experience that will have you speaking Mandarin before you know what hit you.
In-person / In-Office Tutoring
Come to our office to learn in-person with a tutor. We provide a distraction free location and guide you quickly through our curriculum. At the same time, any references or materials are on-hand for you to use to further your ability to speak, read, and write. This is definitely the program to pick if you are located in Beaverton, Oregon.
Conversation Classes
After completing the main part of our program, bring speaking in Mandarin to the next level by practicing conversation with our native, trained tutors. Our conversation topics range from simple introductions to advanced conversational topics. We require these classes for students once they have mastered basic grammar and vocabulary and are ready to use Mandarin in speaking scenarios.

HSK Test Preparation
The HSK test is the recognized standardized test used in China to determine the proficiency of Mandarin spoken by foreigners (sometimes called the Chinese Proficiency Test in English). There are six different levels.
To pass the first level, you only need to know about 150 Chinese characters. We would love to help you start speaking Mandarin!
Our Curriculum
Tones Course
Many people have heard that Chinese is a "tonal" language, but what does this mean exactly?
In the tones course, you not only learn the meaning of tonal, but you also learn how to properly speak tones in Chinese, and practice each tone until you have an ability to use them correctly and easily.
Mandarin learners that don't have a good basis in the tones have a difficult time speaking, and usually insist their way through learning only to end up being very hard to understand. It can be a lot of wasted time learning Chinese if you don't learn your tones first, and with the Mandarin Learning Center's tone course you can get started on the right foot.
